“Rest.” is a fine dining restaurant created from a non-commercial love of food. It would never have come into being without enthusiastic help from partners ranging from food loving individuals to industry leaders. The art is playfully created by LA-based artist Edvarda Aslaksen Braanaas over well known masterpieces from the history of art. Designer and performance artist Tanja Andreeva has created our uniforms from leftover fabric and clothing donated by Fretex. Our lovely china is created by Odd Standard, from recycled glass, leftover clay, oyster shells and hen’s legs; The whole table setting a gift from recycling industry leader Sirkel. Paroc has kindly provided the ceiling over our heads, and our landlord Holm Eiendom have gratiousely given our lease a couple of rounds in the washing machine, shrinking the bill to fit our idealism. Scenographer Sunniva Bodvin has been an angel helping us to design our interior to make your visit memorable. Design wizards Bly designed the “Rest.” web. Food industry partners subscribing to our philosophy help us find top range ingredients while fighting waste; Augusta Arnesen/Bama, high end coffee supplier Solberg & Hansen, Norwegian shores, Laks & Vilt, local farmers and many more. Above all we owe our gratitude to Tine, who have formed a close partnership with our project through their program for radical innovation and is key to making us able to pursue our vision.
